Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Phnom Penh
Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be greeted by your private driver and taken directly to your hotel. Once settled, you have the option to relax and recover from your flight or venture out to explore the city independently. Should you choose to wander, consider visiting some of Phnom Penh's historic and cultural landmarks, such as the Royal Palace or the National Museum.
Day 2
Explore Phnom Penh
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we'll meet our guide to explore Phnom Penh's key attractions. Our first stop is the Royal Palace, followed by the stunning Silver Pagoda. We will then visit Wat Phnom Temple, perched on its man-made hill and an essential part of the city's history.
In the afternoon, we will tour the Tuol Sleng Museum, formerly the notorious S-21 prison, which offers a poignant insight into the country's past. We'll conclude our day at the Russian Market, where you have the opportunity to shop for local crafts and souvenirs.
Day 3
Travel to Siem Reap & Visit Wat Thmey
After breakfast and checking out, we journey to Siem Reap in comfort aboard an air-conditioned bus, a journey of approximately five hours. Upon arrival and settling into your hotel, we'll visit Artisans Angkor, where you can observe skilled craftsmen at work on traditional wood and stone carvings.
Next, we'll pay a visit to Wat Thmey, notable for its glass-walled stupa, which serves as a poignant reminder of the region's somber history as a Killing Field.
Day 4
Discover Siem Reap
Begin your day with breakfast before joining our guided tour of Angkor Thom, starting at the impressive South Gate. We will explore the remarkable Bayon Temple, known for its 54 towers adorned with enigmatic stone faces. Discover the Royal Enclosure, marvel at the Phimeanakas temple, and wander along the striking Elephants Terrace and Terrace of the Leper King.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the atmospheric Preah Khan temple and Ta Prohm, where ancient tree roots weave through the ruins, offering a truly unique spectacle. We'll conclude our day by watching the sunset from the serene Bakheng Hill.
Day 5
Farewell Siem Reap
After breakfast, we take a private boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the region. You'll explore the remarkable floating villages, witnessing how local fishermen live with schools, police stations, and homes all afloat.
